A Support Team is a group of volunteers organized to provide practical, emotional, and spiritual support to persons with health concerns or other special needs. Team activities may include a ride to the doctor or grocery store, or help with chores.
Team members are asked to do only what they enjoy doing to support the team friend.
A Support Team generally has three major boundaries: money, medicine, and medical care. The team does not loan or give money to the Team's Friend (recipient), dispense prescription medications, or offer medical care.
A Support Team is like extended family for people when they need it most.
