Question: What is the difference between Nursing Care and Adult Home Care?
Answer: Nursing Care Facilities provide 24 hour nursing care, personal care and supervision to older or disabled adults who require regular medical care. Nursing Care Facilities may also be called Nursing Homes, Health Care Centers or Convalescent Homes. Adult Care Homes provide 24 hour personal care and supervision to older or disabled adults who do not need regular medical attention, but are no longer able to remain in their own homes. Adult Care Homes may also be called Rest Homes, Family Care Homes, Assisted Living Facilities or Retirement Homes.
